Event Review
The Prince of Wales Foundation’s inaugural charity event of the year, Black Tie for Breast Cancer, was held on Saturday night 6 March, at the Harbours Edge, Darling Harbour.
Leading social figures and local Sydney residents gathered together to raise over $100,000 for the development of a new Cancer Centre at the Prince of Wales Hospital.
The glamorous evening was hosted by 2Day FM’s Geoff Field, with a special appearance by Ambassador Tania Zaetta, and featured entertainment by Australian music sensation, Sally Singleton as well as ARIA nominated band, Mr Wilson.

Patients receiving breast cancer treatment at the Prince of Wales Hospital (POWH) had the opportunity to meet POWH ambassadors and Sydney A-listers Annalise Braakensiek (model/lingerie designer/TV personality), Sally Singleton (singer), TV Personality Melissa Hoyer and Today FM's newsreader, Geoff Field who visited the hospital to kick off the countdown to the charity event of the year - 'Black Tie for Breast Cance
Dr Michael Jackson, Director, Radiation Oncology Unit at Prince of Wales Hospital, guided the A-listers around the ward, introducing them to patients receiving treatment. Singer Sally Singleton, who recently launched her debut single, 'Tomorrow' personally sign copies of her CD, whilst Annalise Braakensiek, Melissa Hoyer and Geoff Field were on hand to meet and greet patients.
