The glamour filled event was a huge success which, with the help of some very generous auction bids raised over $100,000 The funds will go towards the development of a new gold class Cancer Centre at the Prince of Wales Hospital.

Out to support this great cause where Sydney celebrities that included Jodi Gordon, Braith Anasta, the newly engaged Rachel Gilbert and Tom Williams, two time Logie nominee Anna McGahn, Peter Morrissey, Laura Csortan, Sarah Cumming, Geoff Field, Roy Billing and Bianca Dye along with many more. all of which were out to revel for a cause in an effort to raise money for a new cancer centre at the Prince of Wales Hospital Randwick campus. 

The birdcage filled ballroom was transformed into a charming secret garden setting, which made the 600 plus guests fell like they had just stepped into the pages of an enchanting storybook location.

Flowing gowns and fitted suits adorned the magical surroundings, guests sipped on sparkling wines whilst being entertained by a variety of performers including the live music and an array of live performers.

Now in its third year, the BT4BC committee, all of which have been affected in some way by breast cancer are committed to not only raisings funds for this very worthy cause, but also raising awareness of this devastating disease.

It’s almost time for you to get those bow ties and dress shoes ready for the Black Tie for Breast Cancer fundraising ball! Thank you again for supporting such an important cause and attending this event, but we’ve got one more way you can get involved.  

As a Black Tie for Breast Cancer Ambassador, Roosters captain, Braith Anasta has traded in time on the footy field to raise money and awareness for the Prince of Wales Hospital Foundation. Now, he’s raising eyebrows on Facebook as charity supporters across the country campaign to get Braith ‘pretty in pink’ for the ball. 

The nationwide humili-auction app allows you to ‘formalise’ your profile picture with a pink bow tie to show your support for BT4BC. The more people that get involved, the more pink accessories Braith is required to wear on the night of the ball. We want you to help us get to 10,000 points so Braith will be dressed head-to-toe in pink!

Good sport Braith says: “Having watched a loved one endure the uncertainties of cancer, I am committed to supporting initiatives like BT4BC, who work hard to make a difference to the lives of those affected by this terrible disease.”

Promising to be an elegant and action packed evening, all funds raised at the gala event will go towards plans for a new gold standard Cancer Centre on the Prince of Wales Hospital, Randwick campus. With $245,000 already raised ambassadors and organisers are hoping to make 2012 an even bigger year of donations - encouraging everyone to get involved.

Due to popular demand, ticket sales have increased to 700, following 2011’s sell out year, with all tickets purchased within just 10 days.
